It wouldn't be summer in central Indiana without going to the State Fair (links to
2011,
2010 for the historical perspective). We made it twice this year. The first time, faced with a cold, crappy Friday with grouchy pseudo-sick kids in Onekama and a predicted 70 degree sunny Saturday in Indianapolis, we packed up our vacation a day early and joined most the city and my parents at the fair on Saturday.

Livestock, sheep judging, Irish dancing, the milk bar, Hands on the Farm, the home ec building, the bunny barn...it was everything three preschoolers and their parents could handle..for another year.
