I also had my first first day of school in over a decade this year. It was also my first day on the other side of the lectern. Nine law students at the Indiana University McKinney School of Law enrolled in Public Health Law with Professor Phelps. Maybe instead of a writing assignment on a current public health issue at the beginning of each class, I should borrow Mrs. Quinn's apron and engage in a love ritual? Law school could use more love rituals...you know, kind of a revised and updated Paper Chase for tailored to the Millennial generation.
Honestly, I am very excited about the opportunity. I've always lamented not using my MPH (Masters of Public Health) more and have always thought I would like to teach. In exchange for essentially no money, I will get my brain back into the public health law space and try my hand at teaching. It's a win-win for me and the law school. I just hope its a win for my nine students as well.
You go Jen. This is great!
