Breakfast with Santa

An Indianapolis landmark, the Ayres Tea Room (Ayres was a downtown department store when I was a child), was moved and installed in the Indiana State Museum when Ayres closed its doors.  The State Museum keeps it in operation serving tea and a special Breakfast with Santa.  On the Sunday before Christmas, we enjoyed a decadent holiday brunch buffet, complete with Raggedy Ann, Mrs. Claus and Klondike the Bear.  Then we headed upstairs to see our favorite jolly old elf, straight from Macy's on 34th Street.  This Kris Kringle is the real deal and the State Museum does a beautiful job and provides a lovely, no stress setting.

The entire family on the Christmas train

Daddy and Sage on the Christmas train

Mommy is way more excited than Lucy to be on the Christmas train

Lucy has been known to call these "kittycats," but we like to refer to them as "reindeer."

The girls waiting their turn to speak with Santa.
Sage gave Klondike a high five.  We were impressed.

Raggedy Ann, however, looked a bit dubious
